Ok, How CAN I set up a streaming internet TV station/channel? I don’t want it to be live (I don’t use web cams) , I want it to be all programming. I would prefer that this would be an already made service that could help me although, if someone was to provide me a tutorial on how to do this myself, it would be greatly appreciated. Also, I would need to be able to set these videos and content in an order (like a lineup). Any suggestions or HELP?

For a while now, i’ve looked for a free way to setup a streaming Internet TV station. I have tried Shoutcast and while it does work, I have to convert the files to a special format. This is for a school TV station and I need to be able to ‘break in’ with ‘breaking news’ without having to convert the file. We use mpeg and avi for most content. So the requirements are:

Can use mpeg and avi files as the source
Is completely free
(optional)Allows the addition of CC or Subtitles to the streaming video.

I found some "internet tv" websites but they only have news channels and the discovery channel and a bunch of amde up channels than show random video of crap. Does anyone know of any actual internet provided television. I have my laptop hooked in to a big screen tv and watch downloaded movies on it all the time. Last night I was watching The Discovery Channel on the internet on Channel King.com does anyone else have any suggestion?

So I had internet radio but it was quit borring so I wanna start my own internet TV chanel well for radio I was using icecast, winamp and oddcast what could I use for internet TV?

What is a good computer I can dedicate to watch internet movies and internet TV via a projector. Someone suggested the Mac Mini, but it seems pricey, other recommendations?

I would like to start an internet TV station. Somethng along the lines of VH1 or MTV(Minus the reality TV shows).
I have done a bit of research and even wrote a business plan, on it.
Thing is I dont have the money or the knowledge about webcasting. I was wondering if there was a less expensive and small scale way for a novice to webcast live. I want to see if this kind of venture is worth the effort and if it will pay off financially.
